3rd Moon mission in FY23, India's first unmanned space mission in 2022

The first uncrewed space mission part of India's Rs 9,023 crore human space mission called 'Gaganyaan' is scheduled for the second 50% of 2022, the public authority said.


Responding to an inquiry brought up in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh on Thursday said the test vehicle trip for approval of Crew Escape System execution and the first uncrewed mission of Gaganyaan are planned during the start of second 50% of 2022.


This will be trailed by a second uncrewed mission and first manned mission, Singh added.


As per him, the plan of all frameworks of Gaganyaan has been finished. Acknowledgment of different frameworks are in various phases of progress. Ground capability trial of human evaluated dispatch vehicle (rocket) drive stages have as of now initiated and are advancing effectively.


"The setup and plan of ground framework has been finished and changes required are being carried out. The MoU, agreements and Implementation game plan (IA) related exercises with both public and worldwide organizations are advancing admirably," Singh said.


"Receipt of expectations has initiated against contracts with M/s Glavkosmos (Russian Space Agency) for space suit, group seat and View port. Additionally receipt of expectations under different work bundles of CNES (French Space Agency) IA has initiated," Singh added.


The exercises identified with advancement of microgravity tests have initiated, the theoretical plan for tests is under survey.


The space explorer preparing office is getting set up at Bengaluru and in a high level phase of culmination. Fundamental Aeromedical preparing and flying practice finished as a feature of the Indian leg of preparing.


The goal of Gaganyaan program is to show the ability to send people to low earth circle (LEO) locally available an Indian rocket and take them back to earth securely.


On the inquiry raised with regards to the situation with India's third moon mission - - Chandrayaan-3 - - he said it is in the high level phase of acknowledgment.


Every one of the frameworks in both Propulsion Module and Rover Module have been acknowledged, coordinated and tried. In the Lander Module, the vast majority of the frameworks have been acknowledged and tests are under progress.


Coordinated Sensors and Navigation execution tests on the Lander have been finished and different tests are in progress. Every one of the recognized tests will be finished before the dispatch of Chandrayaan-3, he said.


Chandrayaan-3 is designated to be dispatched in the second quarter of monetary year 2022 - 2023.- - IANS
