A blanket ban on fireworks has been imposed in Gurugram under section 144

The Gurugram district management has imposed a blanket ban at the bursting of fireworks on the occasion of Diwali, Gurpurab, Kartik Purnima, Christmas and New Year eve in Gurugram.


The management has imposed a ban on bursting of fireworks on the days earlier than and after Diwali, which falls on November four this year.


The orders had been issued via Gurugram District Collector (DC), Yash Garg on Monday under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Act (CrPC). These orders were issued in compliance with the judgment of the Supreme Court for the protection of the general public and to manipulate the extent of pollutants, he said. To make certain compliance with these orders, the obligation of the SHO of the concerned region has been described.


The order said the concerned station in price will make certain compliance of these orders and if violated, it would be considered contempt of court docket for which action may be taken. These orders have come into force with on the spot effect in the district. Action can be taken in opposition to folks that disobey orders below phase 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
