A protest outside a police station over the FIR against Owaisi led to 30 arrests

Thirty individuals have been captured after their dissent outside Parliament Street police headquarters here over FIR against party boss Asaddudin Owaisi for purportedly posting and sharing messages via web-based entertainment instigating individuals on disruptive lines, authorities said on Friday.


The dissent was hung on Thursday. A sum of 33 nonconformists, including ladies, were confined and a FIR was enrolled for insubordination to arrange properly proclaimed by a community worker.


Agent Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Amrutha Guguloth on Friday said 30 dissenters have been captured under different segments of the Indian Penal Code.


The Delhi Police has enrolled FIRs against previous BJP spokespersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal, AIMIM boss Asaduddin Owaisi, questionable minister Yati Narsinghanand and others for supposedly posting and sharing messages via virtual entertainment against the support of public serenity and instigating individuals on troublesome lines.


The FIRs were enlisted after an examination of web-based entertainment, they said.


"The bodies of evidence have been enrolled against the individuals who were posting and sharing messages against the upkeep of public serenity and were inducing individuals based on troublesome lines," a senior cop said.


One body of evidence has been enlisted against Sharma and one more against various web-based entertainment elements, including Owaisi, Jindal, Narsinghanand, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdur Rehman and Gulzar Ansari, in view of the examination, a cop said.


Notification will be shipped off the online entertainment go-betweens for the subtleties, he added.
