According to sources, Fire breaks out at the HPCL plant in Visakhapatnam, no casualties reported

Frenzy followed after a fire breaks out at the treatment facility of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) here on Tuesday, however no quick losses were accounted for. Thick tufts of smoke and flares were seen ascending from the treatment facility.


On getting news about the episode, the police hurried to the spot and emptied individuals from that point. As per sources, the fire broke out at the recently built square in the HPCL premises. Fire tenders have been hurried to the spot.


As per sources, the fire ejected in the rough refining unit in the HPCL old terminal.


A crisis alarm was promptly sounded following which the representatives and laborers hurried out of the unit.


"There was a stunning sound like an impact and there was a chunk of fire. The alarm was sounded and we as a whole came heading out to wellbeing," a few specialists said, emerging from the plant.


According to data, an impact announced at Unit-3 plant in HPCL. Five fire tenders are available at the spot. More fire tenders are being hurried. The reason for the occurrence is yet to be found out, says DCP Aishwarya Rastogi.


"A fire episode happened in one of the rough handling units of HPCL's Visakha Refinery today. Wellbeing measures and putting out fires was initiated right away. The fire has been quenched. There is no loss and no danger to the general population. Other treatment facility activities are typical," said HPCL in an articulation.
