Facebook-owned WhatsApp on Wednesday introduced a new feature with the intention to allow customers to take their WhatsApp chat records with them once they exchange cell running systems.
The employer said it'll be introducing the capability to transport the complete WhatsApp chat history -- along with voice notes, pictures and conversations -- seamlessly and securely if customers pick to interchange cellular working systems.
"We are excited for the primary time to make it clean for people to securely switch their WhatsApp history from one working machine to some other," Whatsapp Product Manager Sandeep Paruchuri said in a announcement.
"This has been one among our maximum requested capabilities from users for years and we labored together with running systems and tool manufacturers to clear up it," he added.
The characteristic can be available to customers of each Android and iOS systems, which means that that human beings will be able to transfer from each Android to iOS and vice versa.
The enterprise stated that it will start to roll out on Android initially, and on Samsung's newest Galaxy smartphones unveiled on August 11.
To start, users will be able to take their WhatsApp records from iOS to an Android device and will in the end be able to do the equal on iOS gadgets.
