Paying homage to Kargil heroes on the occasion of twenty second Vijay Diwas, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat mounted the Victory Flame right here on the Kargil War Memorial in Dras.
The Victory Flame Swarnim Vijay Mashaal marks India's victory within the 1971 warfare.
As a part of the yr-long Swarnim Vijay Varsh Celebrations, four Victory Flames had been lit through Prime Minister Narendra Modi at National War Memorial on December 16, 2020, which were sent to four cardinal instructions.
