During the festive quarter of 2021, Sony sold just 3.9 million PS5 consoles

Tech goliath Sony on Wednesday said it sent simply 3.9 million PlayStation 5 control center in the bubbly quarter of 2021.

As indicated by The Verge, it is a slight knock over the past quarter's figure of 3.3 million, showing how the hardware goliath is as yet battling to satisfy need during the continuous worldwide production network crunch.

According to the report, 17.3 million units altogether have been sent as of December 31, almost 3,000,000 less than the PlayStation 4 had overseen at the same point after its delivery.

The gaming division's income was down 8% year on year (YoY) to 813.3 billion yen ($7.09 billion), yet working benefit rose 12.1 percent to 92.9 billion yen ($810 million).

Sony's vital picture sensor division had a decent quarter, with deals expanding 22% year on year to 57.8 billion ($504 million).

Working benefit was up 26% to 13.3 billion yen ($116 million), however Sony credits 12 billion yen of that to the debilitating yen.

Sony said the income bounce was because of higher deals of picture sensors for cell phone cameras, a bigger piece of which were top notch items.

The film division saw a colossal expansion in income, hopping 141% YoY to 461.2 billion yen ($4.02 billion).
