Facebook has taken down nine fake networks from six countries for violating policy

Facebook has brought down nine networks from six nations in April focusing on individuals with bogus and misleading data.


The informal community eliminated 1,565 Facebook accounts, 141 Instagram accounts, 724 Pages and 63 Groups.


In Palestine, Facebook eliminated 447 Facebook accounts, 256 Pages, 17 Groups, and 54 Instagram accounts from Palestine that focused fundamentally Palestine, and less significantly Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, and Qatar.


"Furthermore, WhatsApp eliminated numerous records that were essential for this movement. We discovered this movement as a component of our inward examination in front of the political race in Palestine and connected it to Fatah, an ideological group in Palestine," Facebook said in a blog entry late on Thursday.


In Mexico, it eliminated 162 Facebook accounts, 11 Pages, and seven Instagram accounts from Mexico that focused the territory of San Luis Potosi around there.


"We discovered this organization as a feature of our interior examination concerning suspected facilitated inauthentic conduct in the district in front of the Mexican decisions, and we connected it to people in San Luis Potosi related with the political missions of Xavier Nava (mayoral applicant) and Octavio Pedroza (gubernatorial competitor)," the organization added.


In Ukraine, Facebook 477 Facebook accounts, 363 Pages, 35 Groups and 29 Instagram accounts that started in and focused on Ukraine.
