G-20 summit to be held at the new Pragati Maidan in 2023: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday said that the new Pragati Maidan will host the G-20 summit in 2023.


Speaking on the release of the new exhibition complex (Exhibition Halls 2 to 5) at Pragati Maidan, the Union Minister said, "PM GatiShakti-National Master Plan will provide a push and route to numerous development plans and also will encourage investments. Under the management of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the G20 summit can be held here in 2023 for the first time."


PM Modi released PM GatiShakti-National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity at Pragati Maidan within the countrywide capital.


PM GatiShakti is the end result of the Prime Minister's regular endeavour to build Next Generation Infrastructure which improves Ease of Living as well as Ease of Doing Business. The multi-modal connectivity will provide integrated and seamless connectivity for the movement of humans, items, and services from one mode of shipping to every other. It will facilitate the closing mile connectivity of infrastructure and additionally reduce travel time for human beings.


PM GatiShakti will offer the public and enterprise community records regarding the upcoming connectivity initiatives, different business hubs, industrial areas, and the surrounding surroundings.


It will incorporate the infrastructure schemes of diverse Ministries and State Governments like Bharatmala, Sagarmala, inland waterways, dry/land ports and UDAN. Economic Zones like textile clusters, pharmaceutical clusters, defence corridors, electronic parks, commercial corridors, fishing clusters, agri zones might be blanketed to improve connectivity and make Indian organizations more aggressive.
