Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Friday said the state government will challenge in the high court writer Tarun Tejpal's exoneration in a 2013 assault case by an area court here.
A meetings court at Mapusa on Friday vindicated Tejpal of explicitly attacking his previous female associate in a lift of a five star resort in Goa.
Conversing with correspondents, Sawant said, We won't endure any bad form to be distributed to the ladies in Goa. We will challenge the area court's organization under the steady gaze of the great court soon for this situation."
He said he has by and by examined the issue with the public examiner and the researching official for the situation about testing the decision in the high court.
Sawant asserted that there was sufficient proof against the charged.
The Goa police had enlisted a FIR against Tejpal in November 2013, following which he was captured.
The Goa wrongdoing branch had documented a charge sheet against Tejpal, who has been temporarily free from jail since May 2014.
He confronted the preliminary under IPC segments 341 (unjust limitation), 342 (improper restriction), 354 (attack or criminal power with purpose to shock humility), 354-A (inappropriate behavior), 354-B (attack or utilization of criminal power to lady with aim to strip down), 376(2)(f) (individual in a place of power over ladies, carrying out assault) and 376(2)k) (assault by an individual in a place of control).
