Google paid more than $6.7 million (almost Rs 49 crore) to 662 security analysts from 62 nations for spotting weaknesses in Google items a year ago.
The figure was up from $6.5 million the tech monster paid in bug abundance awards in 2019.
"The extraordinarily difficult work, devotion, and skill of our scientists in 2020 brought about a record-breaking payout of more than $6.7 million in remunerations, with an extra $280,000 given to noble cause," Google said in an articulation on Thursday.
In the Android Vulnerability Reward Program (VRP), Google paid out $1.74 million in remunerations.
"Following our increment in endeavor payouts in November 2019, we got a record 13 working adventure entries in 2020, addressing more than $1 million in adventure reward payouts," the organization said.
In Chrome, Google expanded prize sums in July 2019 and subsequently, "2020 has seen us pay out 83 percent more than 2019, totalling $2.1 million across 300 bugs".
