In Kolkata, Bengal pays last respects to KK with a gun salute at Rabindra Sadan

West Bengal government on Wednesday offered final appreciation to famous Bollywood vocalist Krishnakumar Kunnath, prevalently known as KK, with weapon salute to his human remaining parts.


Boss Minister Mamata Banerjee, who regulated the procedures, paid flower recognitions for the late artist, whose body was kept at Rabindra Sadan for quite a while.


Banerjee was seen comforting KK's better half and other relatives who were available at the setting.


The 53-year-old artist's body was brought to Rabindra Sadan after posthumous assessment was led at state-run SSKM Hospital prior in the day, an authority said.


His human remaining parts will be taken to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and gave over to his family, who will travel to Mumbai with the body, he said.


KK was proclaimed "brought dead" by specialists of a clinic where he was taken after he "fell oblivious" upon his re-visitation of an inn from a show on Tuesday night, police said.


Police have enrolled an instance of unnatural passing and began an examination.


The singer, who is known for his adaptability, has sung in various dialects including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali.
