Jaishankar and Blinken discuss Afghanistan, agree to keep working together

US Secretary of State Tony Blinken spoke with India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday over the chaotic state of affairs in Afghanistan.

The Taliban took manipulate of Afghanistan on Sunday. Their sudden victory, which comes because the US withdraws from the country following a 20-12 months-struggle, has sparked chaos at Kabul's airport, from wherein America and allied countries are seeking to properly evacuate thousands of citizens and allies.

"Secretary Blinken and Minister Jaishankar mentioned Afghanistan and agreed to persevered coordination," State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a readout of the call.
