Israel, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a 'historical' settlement for local cooperation in the fight in opposition to the weather disaster, the Israeli Ministry of Energy said in a declaration.
The settlement was signed in Dubai, the UAE, by means of the Israeli Minister of Energy Karin Elharrar, the UAE's Minister of Food and Water Security Mariam Almheiri, and Jordan's Water Minister Mohammad Najjar, with the presence of the United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, Xinhua news organization pronounced.
As part of the settlement, Jordan will export six hundred megawatts of green electricity to Israel, from new storage facilities with the intention to be built beneath the agreement.
In trade, Israel will examine the export of as much as two hundred million cubic meters of desalinated water to Jordan, from a brand new desalination facility to be built in Israel.
"The agreement will permit a joint response to weather crisis demanding situations, as well as electricity protection and water deliver to the area," the assertion said.
The collaboration became made possible thanks to the normalization agreement among Israel and the UAE, signed in September 2020, the Israeli ministry concluded.
