Krafton game developer sues Apple, Google & Garena for copying

Krafton, the engineer of renowned versatile game PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile), has sued Apple, Google and one more game designer Garena in the US for replicating and appropriating its unique fight royale game.


In a claim documented in the US District Court in California, South Korean computer game designer Krafton blamed Garena for duplicating its 'PUBG: Battlegrounds' down and creating copycats Garena Free Fire and Garena Free Fire Max.


The organization additionally sued Apple and Google for circulating those Garena games on their separate application stores.


Krafton even blames Google for facilitating YouTube recordings with ongoing interaction of the two games being referred to, just as "various posts containing a full length Chinese film that is just a conspicuously encroaching true to life sensation of Battlegrounds", reports The Verge.


On both App Store and Google Play, Garena Free Fire and Garena Free Fire Max are accessible free of charge with in-application buys.

The organization likewise requested that Apple and Google quit appropriating the games yet these are as yet accessible on both application stores.


Apple and Google were yet to remark on the claim.


As per the report, a representative from Garena's parent organization Sea said that "Krafton's cases are baseless."
