The GNCT of Delhi (Amendment) Act, 2021, which offers supremacy to the Lieutenant Governor (L-G) over the chosen government around there, has come into power.
The arrangements of the Act happened from April 27, as per a warning gave by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
As indicated by the enactment, the "public authority" in Delhi implies the "Lieutenant Governor" and the regional government will presently need to look for the assessment of the L-G prior to making any leader move.
"In exercise of the forces presented by sub-area (2) of segment 1 of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Act 2021 (15 of 2021), the Central Government therefore selects the 27th April 2021 as the date on which the arrangements of the said Act will come into power," the notice endorsed by extra secretary in the MHA, Govind Mohan, said.
Parliament had passed the bill a month ago - Lok Sabha on March 22 and Rajya Sabha on March 24.
At the point when the bill was passed by Parliament, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had named it a "miserable day for Indian majority rule government".
