'Lata Mangeshkar' will be released from the hospital soon, says spokesperson

Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar, who was conceded in the ICU of a city emergency clinic here, is steady, her representative said on Wednesday.

The 92-year-old vocalist tried positive for Covid with gentle side effects and was conceded to the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai on January 9.

"Lata Di is steady. Will return home after the specialists give the gesture," Anusha Srinivsan Iyer, the representative for Mangeshkar, said in an assertion.

Two days prior, Mangeshkar's condition was supposedly supposed to weaken and the representative had then named the news as bogus.

"It is upsetting to see bogus news being circled. If it's not too much trouble, note that Lata didi is steady. Keeps on being in ICU under treatment of capable specialists. If it's not too much trouble, petition God for her speedy get back," Iyer had said.

Known as the Queen of Melody and the Nightingale of India, Mangeshkar began her profession at 13 years old in 1942 and has sung north of 30,000 tunes in various dialects.
