(Reuters) - Microsoft Corp said on Wednesday it completely upheld proposed new laws in Australia that would constrain web monster Google and online media heavyweight Facebook Inc to pay homegrown news sources for their substance.
"While Microsoft isn't dependent upon the enactment presently forthcoming, we'd live by these standards if the public authority assigns us," the product monster said in a proclamation.
Both Alphabet Inc's Google and Facebook have called the laws unfeasible and said a month ago they would pull out key administrations from Australia if the guidelines proceeded.
