Congress Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Monday moved a suspension movement in Rajya Sabha requesting a lawful assurance of Minimum Support Price (MSP), monetary and work help to the groups of ranchers who kicked the bucket during the disturbance.
In the letter to Rajya Sabha speaker, Hooda said, "Lakhs of ranchers have been fighting at the lines of the public capital. In excess of 681 rancher siblings have forfeited their lives during this hard battle. The obligation of the Parliament in an ideal majority rules system is to ensure the privileges of the residents of the nation and they ought to be given due insurance."
"Consequently, Sir, you are mentioned to defer crafted by the House on this vital issues in particular lawful assurance of Minimum Support Price (MSP), monetary and work help to the groups of every one of the 681 perished ranchers, return of arguments recorded against rancher siblings during the tumult," he said.
Prior, the Center has informed Parliament that it has no record of ranchers who kicked the bucket during the unsettling against the homestead laws.
In its reaction to an inquiry on whether the Center proposes to give monetary help to the family of ranchers who passed on during the tumult, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare answered in the Parliament that it has "no record regarding the present situation and consequently the inquiry doesn't emerge."
The Winter meeting of the Parliament initiated on November 29 and will proceed till December 23.
