Over 700 cases of privacy violations were registered under the IT Act in 2020

He added that Section 66E of the Act accommodates discipline for infringement of security, and that these cases are managed by law implementation offices of states.

Out of this, an absolute number of 54,314 and 32,736 network protection episodes were identified with government associations during the year 2020 and 2021 (up to October), individually," he expressed.

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) is ordered to track and screen network protection episodes in India.

Chandrasekhar said the public authority is very much aware of network safety dangers as the Internet grows and the sky is the limit from there and more Indians get associated and use Internet.
