The Dharma Swatantrya Religious Freedom bill with revisions will be introduced in the progressing spending meeting of state Assembly to control the threat of affection jihad, said Gujarat Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja on Monday.
"We will introduce the Dharma Swatantrya (Religious Freedom) bill with alteration in this spending meeting in Vidhan Sabha. The bill precludes and accommodates discipline for change by deception, unnecessary impact, pressure, marriage or any false methods," Jadeja told columnists here.
"The bill expects to control to hazard of adoration jihad. It will rebuff every one of the individuals who attempt to swindle Hindu young ladies by evolving names," he added.
A month ago, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while tending to a meeting in Vadodra had said arrangements have been made for a law against "adoration jihad".
"Arrangements have been made for a rigid law against 'affection jihad'. We will get a Bill on this issue the forthcoming Assembly meeting. The way where young ladies are being baited, won't continue for long," Rupani had said.
A month-difficult month-long spending meeting of the state Assembly started on Monday with Governor Acharya Devvrat's location to the house. Vice president Minister Nitin Patel, who holds the arrangement of Finance service, will table the spending today. The spending meeting will proceed till the April 1.
