Thirty people have died in a landslide near a village in coastal Raigad district of Maharashtra, police stated on Friday.
The toll within the incident close to Talai village in Mahad tehsil is likely to upward push, police said, as many regions of Maharashtra persisted to face rain fury since the past few days.
"Thirty bodies have been recovered from the landslide spot. Locals say more human beings are feared trapped," and official said.
A group of NDRF has reached Mahad, round one hundred sixty km from Mumbai, and another will reach there quickly, the reputable said.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is reviewing the situation, he brought.
