The Army Chief presents 'President's Colours' Nishan to four para units

Head of the Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Tuesday introduced the "President's Colors" to four units of the Parachute Regiment during a function held in Bengaluru, Karnataka.


The four contingents are - 11 and 21 Para (Special Forces) regiments alongside the 23 and 29 Para units.


The Parachute Regiment is a tip top regiment of the Indian Army that holds a fortunate record in pre and post-autonomy tasks.


The Regiment has been granted various shrubs in different performance centers like Gaza, Korea, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Maldives, Rann of Kutch, Siachen, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and in the Eastern venue including Manipur, Nagaland and Assam.


Post-autonomy, brigades of the Regiment have acquired a great count of 32 Chief of the Army Staff unit references and its work force have been granted with 08 Ashoka Chakra, 14 Maha Vir Chakra, 22 Kirti Chakra, 63 Vir Chakra, 116 Shaurya Chakra and 601 Sena Medals for valor and remarkable boldness.


In the wake of surveying the procession, the Army Chief liked the rich tradition of fearlessness, penance and customs of the Parachute Regiment.


The Army Chief additionally commended the recently raised units for the striking exhibition inside a brief timeframe and passed his all the best on to all positions to serve the Nation with satisfaction.
