The public authority has cleared eight hydropower ventures of 144 MW on the Indus stream and its feeders in Ladakh, the most noteworthy up until this point, sources in the Jal Shakti Ministry said on Thursday.
As of now, there are a few little undertakings, with an aggregate limit of 113 MW on Indus in Ladakh, and the new tasks will have considerably more limit than those built up until now, a senior authority added.
The authority said the new undertakings have been cleared by the Central Water Commission just as the Indus Commissioner after a different Union Territory of Ladakh was declared a year ago.
