The government raises a TMC MP's "papri chat" remark in Rajya Sabha

The authorities on Tuesday raised the issue of remarks made via competition MP as Rajya Sabha was adjourned two times till 12 noon and then until 2 p.M.


Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of Minority Affairs and Deputy leader of the Rajya Sabha raised point of order below Rule 238 and said that comments are baseless. Later he stated, "After hijacking court cases of the House with uproar over baseless, fabricated problems, the TMC MP has now insulted Parliament and its participants by means of evaluating Parliamentary court cases with making 'papri chaat'".



The Trinamool MP in a tweet had stated, "In the primary 10 days, Modi-Shah rushed thru and handed 12 Bills at a median time of beneath seven mins in step with Bill, passing rules or making papri chaat!"


The TMC MP become referring to the passage of bills within the parliament without debate and discussion.


The deadlock between the authorities and the competition continued even on Tuesday as the monsoon session entered third week since the commencement.


The flashpoint is the Pegasus venture snooping controversy on which the opposition demands discussion however the government says that after IT Minister's declaration most effective clarification may be sought. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has termed it a "non issue".
