The Indian cyber agency says iPhone, iPad users need to update operating software

Older variations of Apple's mobile operating software are vulnerable to "far flung attacks", India’s cybersecurity company has said in an advisory for customers to make updates.


"Apple has released protection updates to deal with vulnerabilities in more than one merchandise. An attacker could take advantage of a number of those vulnerabilities to take manage of an affected device,” said the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) on Wednesday.



"A remote attacker ought to take advantage of a number of the vulnerabilities including memory corruption etc,” said the advisory that classified the hazard to be “high".


The company said “this vulnerability is presently being exploited” and users are recommended to “apply patches urgently,” according to the 'Economic Times'.


Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s IT and telecom Minister, instructed Parliament this that CERT-In has issued signals to over seven hundred companies across numerous sectors.
