India's new diplomat to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat has shown up in the nation and is going through required quarantine for the COVID-19, the Indian government office here said on Friday.
"Representative assign Shri Pradeep Kumar Rawat has arrived at China and is as of now going through compulsory quarantine, the consulate said in a tweet on Friday.
Rawat succeeds Vikram Misri.
An Indian Foreign Service (IFS) official of the 1990 cluster, Rawat was beforehand India's envoy to the Netherlands.
Rawat's arrangement comes amidst the waiting eastern Ladakh line stalemate.
He has prior served in Hong Kong and Beijing.
Rawat filled in as the representative of India to Indonesia and Timor-Leste from September 2017-December 2020. He talks familiar Mandarin.
