The Supreme Court-appointed committee to hold first meeting with farmers on January 21

The SC-selected board on the three new ranch laws will hold its first gathering with farmers on January 21, said board part Anil Ghanwat on Tuesday.


During a question and answer session here, Ghanwat said the greatest test before the council is to persuade the disturbing ranchers to examine the issue.


"It has been concluded that the principal meeting with ranchers will be hung on January 21. The actual gathering will be held with those associations who need to meet us face to face. Video conferencing will be held with the individuals who can't come to us," Ghanwat said.


"In the event that the public authority needs to come and talk with us, we invite it. We will hear the Government side, as well. The greatest test is to persuade the upsetting ranchers to come and talk with us, we will attempt our level best," he added.


On January 12, the Supreme Court remained the usage of the Center's three homestead laws and asked the board of trustees framed by it, concerning the laws, to present its report inside two months. The board of trustees has been coordinated to hold an exchange with ranchers and present its suggestions relating to the homestead laws inside two months from the date of its first sitting.

The board of trustees comprised of Bhartiya Kisan Union President Bhupinder Singh Mann, Shetkari Sanghatana president Anil Ghanwat, and agri-business analysts Ashok Gulati and Pramod Kumar Joshi.
