The development of the curve of the world's most noteworthy railway connect that takes off 359 meters over the bed of the Chenab stream in Jammu and Kashmir was finished on Monday, with the Northern Railways naming the accomplishment an achievement.
The 1.3-kilometer-long extension expects to help network to the Kashmir Valley and it is being built at an expense of Rs 1,486 crore as a component of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project.

"Oneself supporting curve is a designing wonder and has carried us nearer to our objective of the fantasy project. After the finish of the curve, we will move further, and are cheerful of finishing the scaffold inside a year," Gangal said.
The Railway Ministry said that the 5.6-meter last piece of metal (conclusion portion) was fitted at the most elevated place of the curve on Monday. It joined the two arms of the curve that at present stretch towards one another from the two banks of the Chenab, it said.
"This finished the state of the curve. After fruition of the curve work, evacuation of the stay links, filling of the solid in the curve rib, erection of the steel support, dispatching of the viaduct and track laying work will be taken up," the service said.
Gangal said that the development of the extension includes creation of 28,660 metric huge loads of steel, 10 lakh cubic meters earthwork and 66,000 cubic meters of cement.
"The curve comprises of steel encloses which solid will be filled to improve security. The stay links which are by and by holding the curve will be eliminated as it has gotten self-supporting after the establishment of the last piece," Gangal said.
He said the general load of the curve is 10,619 metric tons and "the erection of individuals from the curve by overhead link cranes was accomplished interestingly by the Indian Railways".
Discussing security measures, Gangal said the scaffold was intended for shoot load in interview with the Defense Research and Development Organization. This is the principal such plan in the country and it can stay operational at a confined speed of 30 kmph after expulsion of one wharf or beam, he said.
The extension is intended to withstand high wind speed of up to 266 kmph and tremor powers of most elevated force, Gangal said.
Interestingly, the Indian Railways utilized staged exhibit ultrasonic machines and set up a NABL-authorize lab at the site for weld testing, he said.
"Around 584 kilometers of welding was done to join the various pieces of design, which is to the tune of distance between Jammu Tawi to New Delhi," the service said.
The administrator of the Konkan Railways Sanjay Gupta said that the genuine test was the development of the curve which was finished today.
"A few group were fearful about its development yet this has at last occurred with the establishment of the last piece. This is the core of this venture," he said.
On the development of the curve, the service said that this was quite possibly the most troublesome piece of the extension.
