Thousands of devotees took to take a holy dip in Haridwar on Maha Shivratri

A great many aficionados took blessed plunge at Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar on the event of Maha Shivratri on Thursday morning.


"Up to 22 lakh fans have performed 'snan' till now. We will start the way toward exhausting this ghat as 'akharas' are preparing for 'shahi snan'," said Sanjay Gunjyal, Inspector General of Police, Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.


The circumstance for the heavenly shower at 'Har ki Pauri' for akharas is from 8 am to 5 pm on Maha Shivratri. The overall population can clean up before 8 am and after 5 pm.


Aside from 5,000 security power staff, CCTV cameras and robots will be utilized to support security at Haridwar Kumbh.


In a gathering with senior authorities, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Wednesday guided them to show blossoms from helicopters on pioneers who might come for the main heavenly plunge on the event of Maha Shivaratri.


This Kumbh will be held from April 1 to April 30 in Haridwar. The Uttarakhand government has chosen to restrict the Kumbh this year to 30 days because of the COVID-19 pandemic.


The Maha Kumbh is commended in a pattern of 12 years at four waterway bank journey locales across India.


As per State Chief Secretary Om Prakash, individuals abusing COVID-19 SOPs at 2021 Kumbh Mela Haridwar, will be prosecuted.All members should enroll on the Kumbh Mela Administration's true site and transfer archives including a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report, required as long as 72 hours earlier, after which, an e-pass will be created.
