Association Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday checked out readiness with Chief Ministers of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal to manage cyclonic tempest Yaas (articulated as 'Yass') in the Bay of Bengal.
Shah took the gathering through video meeting, and furthermore cooperated with the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to audit the arrangements taking into account typhoon 'Yaas'.
The tornado in Bay of Bengal laid focused at 5.30 a.m. on Monday close to scope 16.3 degree north and longitude 89.7 degree east, around 600 km north-northwest of Port Blair (Andaman Islands), 540 km south-southeast of Paradip (Odisha), 650 km south-southeast of Balasore (Odisha) and 630 km south-southeast of Digha (West Bengal).
It is probably going to move gradually north-northwestwards, increase further into a Severe Cyclonic Storm during next 24 hours and into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm during ensuing 24 hours, said National Weather Forecasting Center of India Meteorological Department (IMD).
"The tornado would keep on moving north-northwestwards, increase further and arrive at Northwest Bay of Bengal close to north Odisha and West Bengal drifts by May 26 early morning," the IMD said.
"It is probably going to cross north Odisha-West Bengal drifts among Paradip and Sagar islands around May 26 early afternoon as an extreme cyclonic tempest."
"Affected by a Western aggravation, tempest and lightning went with separated to genuinely far and wide precipitation is likely over Western Himalayan Region and detached precipitation and rainstorm over fields of Northwest India during next 24 hours. Secluded residue storm likewise likely over Rajasthan during next 24 hours," said the IMD.
In addition, solid surface or residue raising breezes (25-35 kmph) is likely over Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during next three days.
