Nokia on Wednesday introduced its partnership with Vodafone Idea to trial 5G services through E-Band in areas in which fiber is hard to installation.
"We are thrilled to partner with Vi in trials to deliver 5G services by connecting smallcells and macrocells with fiber-like speed thru E-Band, in regions where fiber is tough to installation," the enterprise said in a tweet.
For the trial, the logo has related small cells and macrocells with "fiber-like" pace thru the E-band (60GHz to 90GHz) spectrum.
"Together with Vi, we achieved nine.85 Gbps of backhaul capacity the usage of E-band Microwave in 80GHz spectrum, unlocking the proper capability of 5G," the firm delivered.
Vodafone Idea is presently engaging in 5G trials in India using the trial spectrum inside the 3.3GHz-three.6GHz band and mmWave band (24.25GHz-28.5GHz).
Vi has been allotted mmWave excessive bands like 26 GHz by means of the DoT, along side the conventional three.Five GHz spectrum band, for 5G community trials.A
Earlier, Vodafone Idea stated it achieved height velocity of over 3.7 Gbps at some stage in its ongoing 5G trials in Pune. The corporation also claimed to have done top down load speed of up to 1.Five Gbps in three.Five Ghz band 5G trial network in Gandhinagar and Pune.
The DoT had approved packages of Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone in May, and MTNL later for 5G trials.
